Baker McKenzie boasts a great passion and commitment to building a thriving pro bono practice and supporting access to justice for those in the community who need it. Our participation in the 17th annual Queensland Legal Walk in 2024, and continued partnership with LawRight, is synonymous with this passion, and we see it as a great opportunity for the legal industry to come together, celebrate and promote pro bono work in Queensland. Our goal is to reassure the community that, although the cost-of-living crisis is in full swing and times may be tough, justice is still as accessible as ever.

This year, our goal is to raise $150,000 to help improve the lives of vulnerable Queenslanders by increasing access to justice. Every step you take brings us closer to making a tangible impact.
Since 2008, the Walk has brought together legal professionals and community members from across Queensland to support LawRight's access to justice services.
Held on National Pro Bono day (the Tuesday of National Law Week), the Walk is both a fundraiser and an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the valuable pro bono work undertaken by the Australian legal profession.
